In 2018, a colleague and I received an $8,000 Curriculum Integration Grant from University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) to drastically improve an existing process in the Academic Advising office at the University of Cincinnati.
With funding from the grant our aim was to:
- Develop a course equivalency database and interactive online environment where students can browse study abroad course offerings
- Increase the number of business students on USAC programs by 20 percent by 2022
- Improve the process of equating study abroad courses for students, staff, and faculty
- Engage faculty and staff in a collaborative environment to support students’ personal, professional, and academic growth
With further funding support from the Carl H. Lindner College of Business IT Department, we were successfully able to develop our application with a third-party vendor in September 2019.
